Agency Chef - Education Sector (Monday to Friday)

Are you a passionate and reliable Chef looking for a better work-life balance? We are currently recruiting experienced Agency Chefs to work across schools, academies, colleges, and other education settings.

Location: Various sites

Hours: Monday to Friday, daytime shifts

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rates

Start Date: Immediate starts available

The Role

As an Agency Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for students and staff while maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and cooking fresh meals to agreed menus and dietary requirements
Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations
Managing stock and assisting with kitchen organisation
Supporting catering teams during busy service periods
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

Previous experience as a Chef within schools, care, hospitality, or contract catering
Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum preferred)
Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transportation is advantageous
