The Role

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students who require additional help.
• Helping students understand tasks, remain focused and participate fully in lessons.
• Supporting classroom management and encouraging positive behaviour.
• Building positive relationships with students and promoting confidence, independence and motivation.
• Assisting with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
• Supporting students' academic, social and emotional development.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to meet students' learning needs.
• Following school policies, including safeguarding, behaviour management and health and safety procedures.
• Supervising students during lessons and other school activities when required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Graduates are welcome to apply, particularly those considering a future career in teaching or education.
• Previous experience working with secondary school-aged students is desirable.
• Experience in a school, tutoring, mentoring, coaching or youth work setting would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions.
