Actio Engineering Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of an engineering and fabrication company based in Biggleswade for an experienced Press Brake Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy business on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating and programming press brake machinery to manufacture high-quality components predominantly from stainless steel. You will be required to work from engineering drawings and carry out complex bends, including radius bending, ensuring components are produced accurately and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC press brake machinery.
• Programming machines directly from engineering drawings.
• Producing high-quality stainless steel components.
• Carrying out radius bending and complex folding operations.
• Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings.
• Conducting quality checks to ensure components meet specification.
• Maintaining a safe and organised working area.
• Working independently and as part of the production team.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator.
• Ability to programme press brakes from engineering drawings.
• Experience working with stainless steel fabrication.
• Proven experience with radius bending.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• Reliable, motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

Rate of Pay

• Up to £20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
