What you'll be doing

Installing electrical wiring, looms, control systems and associated equipment on vehicle chassis, bodies and specialist machinery.
Fitting and configuring vehicle and machine lighting, completing accurate terminations and supporting mechanical fitting work.
Carrying out functional testing, calibration, fault-finding and repairs across electrical and control systems.
Diagnosing and resolving issues to ensure equipment is safe, reliable and fully operational.
Reading and working accurately from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
Completing all work to company quality standards and relevant health and safety requirements.

What we're looking for

Practical knowledge of electrical wiring, ideally gained in vehicle, manufacturing, machinery or industrial equipment environments.
Experience of 12V and 24V systems.
Confidence reading electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and repair skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a positive, hands-on approach.
The motivation to learn, develop and contribute as part of a busy team.

Even better if you have

Experience with commercial vehicles, or other specialist equipment.
Knowledge of vehicle body lighting, control systems, CAN bus systems or advanced vehicle diagnostics.
An understanding of modern vehicle electrical technologies.

Hours and benefits

39 hours per week: Monday to Thursday, 8.00am-5.00pm; Friday, 8.00am-4.00pm, with one hour for lunch each day.
