Parts Advisor

Are you an experienced Parts Advisor with a strong customer focus and a passion for delivering great service? We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Parts Advisor to join a growing Parts Department, supporting customers, workshop engineers and the wider depot team.

This is a varied role combining parts sales, customer service, stock management and technical support. If you enjoy building customer relationships, identifying the right parts and working towards sales targets, this could be the ideal next step.

Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 p/a

A varied role combining sales, customer service and technical parts supportKey Responsibilities
Handle incoming calls and customer enquiries, taking ownership to ensure a prompt and professional response.
Process parts orders received over the trade counter, by telephone, online, post and through sales staff.
Support workshop and field engineers by sourcing and ordering parts and attachments for jobs.
Identify suitable parts and alternatives using catalogues, price lists and product knowledge.
Proactively develop sales opportunities, promote additional products and work towards individual and depot sales and profit targets.
Build strong customer relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Order, store and monitor parts, ensuring stock levels and records remain accurate.
Ensure all parts removed from stock are correctly invoiced and recorded.
Support the service team by preparing overestimates for retail work.
Deliver parts and attachments to customers using a company van when required.
Complete administration accurately and on time, following company cash handling, credit control and anti-fraud procedures.
Operate a forklift safely and maintain high standards of housekeeping and health and safety.Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements
Minimum of two years' Parts Advisor experience is essential.
Good technical knowledge of parts and the ability to identify products to meet customer requirements.
Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
Commercial awareness and the ability to identify sales opportunities.
Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.
Good administrative and organisational skills.
Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Forklift truck qualification.
Full, clean driving licence.
A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Our Ideal Candidate
