What You’ll Be Doing as Health & Safety Advisor:

• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety policies, procedures and programmes
• Carrying out regular workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and legislation
• Assisting with accident, incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
• Supporting the completion and review of operational risk assessments, safe systems of work and COSHH assessments
• Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture across the site and engaging employees at all levels
• Delivering toolbox talks and assisting with Health & Safety training programmes
• Ensuring Health & Safety records, documentation and reporting are maintained accurately
• Assisting with contractor management, permit-to-work processes and emergency preparedness activities (including fire safety procedures and drills)
• Working closely with managers and employees to identify hazards and implement proactive improvements
• Supporting monthly Health & Safety reporting, KPI tracking, internal audits and compliance initiatives

What We’re Looking for as Health & Safety Advisor:

Essential:

• Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing, production, engineering or a similar environment
• Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation
• NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) Health and Safety qualification, or relevant IOSH qualification
• Experience carrying out risk assessments and workplace inspections
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage employees at all levels
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• A proactive approach with a genuine passion for Health & Safety

Desirable:

• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience delivering Health & Safety training or toolbox talks
