Semi Senior Accountant- – Accountancy Practice

Hyde Accountancy is a growing UK accountancy practice based in Harlow, providing accounting, tax and business advisory services to a wide range of clients including SMEs, property investors and international businesses.

Due to business growth, we are looking for an experienced Mandarin speaking accountant to join our team.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
• Handle VAT returns
• Prepare self assessment tax returns
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on financial procedures.
• Liaise with HMRC and Companies House
• Support clients with accounting and tax related queries
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Accountant within a financial services environment or similar sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems.
• Good knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience preparing limited company accounts
• Mandarin speaking is desirable but not essential.
• Effective mentoring skills with the ability to support team development.
• Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent are highly desirable.
