A major MEP contractor is looking to appoint a Senior MEP Contracts Manager with a strong mechanical bias to lead the delivery of a major Central London commercial refurbishment and infrastructure upgrade.

The role is focused on a substantial existing-building redevelopment, currently in pre-construction and expected to commence in 2027. The MEP package is valued at approximately £50m and will be delivered over a two-year programme.

The works will involve phased refurbishment, completing two floors at a time, alongside significant infrastructure upgrade works. You will provide overall leadership across the MEP delivery, with particular ownership of the mechanically led aspects of the programme.

A Mechanical Project Manager will lead the fit-out team, while a separate infrastructure team will manage the upgrade works. You will bring these workstreams together, lead the wider project team and ensure the mechanical and electrical packages are delivered safely, commercially and to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead overall MEP delivery on a major commercial refurbishment and infrastructure programme.
• Provide senior leadership across fit-out and infrastructure workstreams.
• Oversee the mechanical project delivery while managing the electrical delivery strategy.
• Coordinate phased refurbishment works within an existing operational building.
• Manage Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and supply-chain partners.
• Drive programme, procurement, commercial performance and risk management.
• Lead client, consultant and senior project meetings.
• Oversee design coordination, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure high standards of health and safety, quality and compliance are maintained.
• Support pre-construction planning and mobilisation ahead of contract award.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Senior MEP Contracts Manager, MEP Project Director or Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager.
• Strong mechanical building-services background.
• Experience delivering large-scale commercial refurbishment, fit-out or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing significant MEP packages and multiple delivery teams.
• Strong commercial, programme and risk-management capability.
• Ability to coordinate complex works within live or phased environments.
• Excellent leadership, client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
