The Role

The position of HR Administrator at Doocey Group offers an excellent opportunity to gain further experience in the HR field. The successful candidate will be essential in supporting both the HR Officer and the wider business throughout the employee life cycle in an efficient and performance-oriented manner. You will serve as the liaison between Payroll, HR, Supervisors, Managers, and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. In addition, providing critical administrative support across all aspects of our people processes and services.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for HR and payroll queries, ensuring resolution within HR SLAs.
• Support reception with overflow calls and provide reception cover when required.
• Manage HR inboxes and maintain effective communication across the business.
• Keep HR trackers, employee records and HR systems accurate and up to date.
• Support the onboarding, induction and offboarding of employees.
• Prepare employment contracts, offer letters and contractual amendments.
• Coordinate IT access, system setup and ID badge creation for new starters.
• Manage Driver Check records, including licence verification and compliance monitoring.
• Liaise with managers and departments regarding starters, leavers, absences and pay changes.
• Schedule interviews and support recruitment activities.
• Communicate onboarding requirements and conduct Right to Work checks.
• Coordinate training activities and maintain training records.
• Attend HR meetings, take minutes and distribute actions as required.
• Support careers fairs, recruitment events and work experience placements.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and company events.
• Provide administrative support, including reporting, filing and correspondence.
• Support the continuous improvement of HR processes and services.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Provide cover for HR colleagues and contribute to team objectives.

Qualifications & Training

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above, or equivalent qualifications.
