About the Role

Empowering Learning is currently recruiting enthusiastic and caring Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioners to work as bank staff across nurseries in Derby and the surrounding areas.

As a bank Nursery Practitioner, you will support children throughout their early years, helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where they can learn, play and develop.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.

Planning and delivering fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.

Supporting children's communication, physical, social and emotional development.

Providing high-quality care, including supporting mealtimes, personal care and daily routines.

Observing children's progress and contributing to their learning journeys where required.

Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging children's independence.

Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming nursery environment.

Working collaboratively with nursery staff to ensure every child receives excellent care.

Following safeguarding procedures and nursery policies at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised for the role.

Has a genuine passion for working with babies and young children.

Has a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.

Understands the importance of safeguarding and child development.

Has good communication and teamwork skills.

Is reliable, adaptable and confident working in different nursery settings.

Can build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

Previous nursery or childcare experience is desirable.
