We are interested in speaking with Estimators at various levels, from intermediate through to senior, with experience across Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, Fire Safety or associated Building Services.

The Role

Working alongside the commercial and operational teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates across a variety of specialist construction projects.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing detailed estimates, quotations and tender submissions.

Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

Completing labour, material and subcontractor cost assessments.

Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Pricing works across M&E, fire protection and associated specialist services.

Identifying commercial risks and opportunities to improve project value.

Liaising with clients, suppliers, project managers and company directors.

Supporting projects from initial enquiry through to contract award.

Managing multiple tenders and ensuring deadlines are achieved.

Contributing to the ongoing development of the company's estimating and commercial processes.

Experience We're Looking For

We are interested in candidates with estimating experience across one or more of the following disciplines:

Mechanical and Electrical (M&E)

Electrical Installations

Mechanical Building Services and HVAC

Passive Fire Protection

Fire Stopping and Fire Doors

Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems

Sprinkler and Fire Suppression Systems

Commercial Building Services

Specialist Construction and Refurbishment

Experience across multiple disciplines would be particularly advantageous, although candidates with a strong background in one specialist area will also be considered.

You should have a good understanding of construction costs, technical specifications and tendering processes, alongside strong organisational and communication skills.

Senior candidates should be comfortable managing tenders independently, while intermediate-level applicants should demonstrate a solid foundation in estimating and an ambition to progress.

Salary & Benefits

The company is looking to offer an attractive package, dependent on experience and the level of responsibility.

Salary: £50,000–£75,000 DOE
