Finance Analyst

CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be supporting a highly successful commercial organisation based in Portsmouth, Hampshire with the recruitment of a Finance Analyst to join its established finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with numbers, understanding business performance and providing meaningful financial information to support decision-making.

Working within a busy and collaborative finance function, the successful candidate will gain exposure to a variety of business areas, working closely with senior stakeholders and supporting financial planning and reporting across multiple markets.

What will the Finance Analyst role involve?

Assisting with the preparation and review of budgets, monthly forecasts and financial plans
Analysing financial performance, identifying trends, variances and areas for improvement
Working closely with commercial teams to understand sales performance, challenge forecasts and provide financial insight
Producing financial reports, management information and presentations to support business decisions
Developing and maintaining financial models to assist with forecasting, scenario planning and longer-term business objectives
Liaising with wider finance teams to ensure consistent, accurate and timely financial reporting
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Analyst vacancy:

Previous experience in a financial analysis, management accounting or FP&A role, ideally within a complex commercial environment
Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial information and build financial models
A finance or accounting degree, or relevant finance qualification, would be advantageous
A commercially focused approach, with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Confident communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with stakeholders at different levels
Well organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities in a busy environment
Additional benefits and information for the role of Finance Analyst:

Competitive salary of £38,000 - £40,000, depending on experience
Hybrid working arrangement, with one day per week working from home
One day per week based in London
