Permitting Coordinator - Highways & Streetworks
Location: Grimsby - Hybrid (2 days office, 3 days home)
Rate: £30 per hour
Contract: 3 months
Hours: 37 per week

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Permitting Coordinator to support a growing highways and streetworks team during a period of increased workload and service development. You will play a key role in coordinating highway works, managing streetworks permits and ensuring utility activities are delivered with minimal disruption to the network.

Key Responsibilities
·Coordinate and assess streetworks permit applications, ensuring statutory compliance.
·Liaise with utility companies, contractors and stakeholders to manage planned highway works.
·Monitor permit conditions, identify conflicts and minimise network disruption.
·Review technical drawings, specifications, risk assessments and supporting documentation.
·Maintain accurate permitting records and support performance reporting.
·Resolve permitting issues and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and codes of practice.
Requirements
·Experience in highway permitting or streetworks coordination, ideally within a local authority environment.
·Strong understanding of permit schemes, streetworks legislation and statutory requirements.
·Experience working with utility companies and statutory undertakers.
·Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
·Ability to manage competing workloads and interpret technical information.
·Relevant highways or transportation qualification desirable.
