Field Sales Executive role, Full-Time Field-Based, Customer Facing

Based from our clients Gatwick office covering the South East primary area, so candidates living in the West or East Sussex region would be perfect, as our sales candidates living in Kent, Surrey, South London and parts of Hampshire. There is also scope for National coverage if a need is identified

They are looking for a high-energy, driven and personable Sales Executive to grow their customer base through direct sales activity, relationship building and consultative conversations with businesses that value exceptional logistics solutions.

The Opportunity

• This is a hands-on field sales role focused on creating new business opportunities, developing customer relationships and representing the clients brand in the market.
• You'll spend the majority of your time meeting prospects, building networks, generating opportunities and converting conversations into long-term customer partnerships.
• They have framework agreements with UK Government, DHL, DSV to name a few…all need exploring.
• Success in this role comes equally from who you are and what you've done.
• They hire 50% for cultural fit and personality and 50% for experience. They can teach products and processes. They cannot teach energy, attitude, curiosity, resilience and the ability to genuinely connect with people.

Role Purpose
To generate sustainable revenue growth by:

• Winning new customers through proactive field-based sales activity.
• Building trusted relationships with decision-makers.
• Identifying opportunities where our clients service can create value.
• Acting as a positive ambassador for the clients brand.
• Bringing market insight back into the business to support growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
New Business Development 75%

• Proactively identify and target new business opportunities.
• Generate leads through networking, referrals, prospecting and cold outreach.
• Arrange and attend face-to-face customer meetings.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
• Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
• Convert opportunities into profitable long-term accounts.

Relationship Management 25%

• Develop strong relationships with customers at multiple levels.
• Understand customer challenges and provide tailored solutions.
• Maintain regular contact with prospects and customers.
• Become a trusted advisor rather than simply a supplier.
• Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales journey.

What We're Looking For
Experience 50%

• Proven experience in sales, business development or account management.
• Track record of building customer relationships and winning new business.
• Experience working in logistics, transport, service businesses or B2B sales is essential.

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive base salary circa £30,00 to £40,000
• Uncapped commission structure.
