Our client, a reputable automotive service centre group with multiple sites across Southern England, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their team in Shaftesbury.

The Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester role offers a competitive salary between £36,000 and £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience, along with additional quarterly bonuses based on performance.
The position involves working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, with one in two Saturdays from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Benefits include 30 days' holiday (including bank holidays), a workplace pension scheme, access to in-house technical training, and discounts on servicing, tyres, and MOTs. Key duties of the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester include:
Servicing, maintenance, and repairs of customer vehicles to manufacturer and Ministry standards.
Conducting MOT tests in compliance with MOT testing regulations.
Supporting the workshop team with general repair tasks.
Assisting at the front reception occasionally to handle customer enquiries.
Producing high-quality work within specified time frames.
Adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.The ideal professional will have proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, whether through continued employment or apprenticeship.
A valid MOT licence and a UK driving licence with minimal points are highly advantageous.
Vehicle Technician / MOT Testers should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Salisbury and possess a friendly, approachable manner, with the ability to work efficiently within a team.
