EYFS Teacher – Primary School – Taunton, Somerset

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher looking for a rewarding part-time teaching opportunity in Taunton?

M&M Supply is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Taunton, Somerset, seeking a dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to join their team for a maternity cover secondment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher or enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) who enjoys creating engaging, creative and inclusive learning experiences for young children.

The position is for 4 days per week, starting after the October half-term, with responsibility for planning, delivering and marking lessons.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, creative and age-appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework.

Create a positive, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages early learning and development.

Take responsibility for lesson planning, assessment, marking and monitoring pupil progress.

Support children's development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of pupils, including children with SEND.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, school staff and parents to support children's learning.

Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

Has experience teaching within EYFS, Reception or Early Years settings.

Demonstrates a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development.

Is confident undertaking full classroom teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation and assessment.

Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to supporting young learners.

Can commit to working 4 days per week for the duration of the maternity cover.
