Quokka Education is looking for qualified teachers to work with secondary schools across Gosport, Fareham and the surrounding areas.

Want regular work? We can keep you busy for most of the school year, even in September!

Want flexibility? You're in control. We offer the bookings, and you choose the days and schools that work for you.

We're a small, independent, local education recruitment agency, and we take a slightly different approach to supply teaching.

Our daily supply rates:

ECTs – £150 per day

Experienced qualified teachers – £170 per day

These rates are for general daily supply, with no planning, marking or additional responsibilities.

All pay is through PAYE – no umbrella companies or hidden deductions.

We don't just send you into a school and hope for the best.

Wherever possible, we arrange induction and taster days so you can get a feel for the school before accepting regular bookings.

We'll also make sure you're familiar with the school's behaviour policies, systems and expectations before your first day.

The Role

You'll typically work between 8am and 3pm, delivering pre-set work across secondary school classes.

There's no expectation to take work home with you. When the school day finishes, your work is done.

Whether you're looking for two days a week or want to stay busy throughout the week, we'll work around your availability.

We offer the work. You choose what works for you.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for teachers who:

Hold QTS, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Are confident working in a secondary school environment

Are adaptable, reliable and happy to cover subjects outside their specialism

Want regular classroom work with a better work-life balance

Care about making a positive difference to the schools and pupils they support

Know another teacher looking for supply work?

Refer them to Quokka Education, and if they complete 10 days of work with us, we'll thank you with £100.
