Multi-Trade Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Trade Operative to join a busy Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance team.

This is a permanent position and is ideal for someone looking for long-term, stable employment. Please do not apply if you are seeking self-employed, subcontractor, or temporary work.

Requirements

You must be confident working independently in occupied and void properties, carrying out a variety of day-to-day repairs and maintenance tasks.

Skills required include:

• Carpentry repairs
• Basic plumbing repairs
• Patch plastering
• Flooring repairs and installations
• Painting & decorating
• General multi-trade maintenance works

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance in domestic social housing properties
• Work independently and efficiently to complete jobs to a high standard
• Use a PDA/mobile device to receive, update, and close work orders
• Provide excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
• Maintain accurate job records using the PDA system

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience within Social Housing, Repairs & Maintenance, or Property Maintenance
• Multi-trade skills across carpentry, plumbing, plastering, flooring, and decorating
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to pass a background check / DBS check
