Rail Infrastructure Project

VGC is recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of a major rail infrastructure project at Bryn Station, Wigan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Site Agent with rail experience to join a high-profile project, leading site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

Valid PTS and CSCS competency cards
Previous experience working as a Site Agent within rail infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards and procedures
Experience managing subcontractors, programme delivery, quality, and project reporting
Ability to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and operational teams

Responsibilities:

Support the Project Manager in delivering project objectives
Act as the key point of contact for TfGM, Network Rail, TOCs, and stakeholders
Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to specification
Develop and manage 4-week lookahead programmes
Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site activities
Review and approve RAMS, risk assessments, and work packages
Produce and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
Conduct quality inspections and manage defect resolution
Monitor project scope and manage change control processes
Raise and manage Technical Queries (TQs)
Maintain construction records, assurance documentation, and as-built records
Support project handover and closeout activities
Manage environmental risks and ensure compliance with project requirements
