360 Excavator Operator

The Role:
You will be operating a 360 tracked excavator (14t - 25t) on deep drainage installations in open-cut and supported excavations. Working closely with pipelayers, banksman and site engineer to install foul and surface water systems accurately to line and level.Key Duties:Operating 360 excavator for deep trench excavation, typically 2.5m - 6m deepInstalling concrete / plastic / clay pipes, chambers, manholes, and attenuation systemsWorking to drawings, levels, and laser / GPS guidanceSafe installation / extraction of trench support systems – trench sheets, drag boxes, manhole boxes, walingsTrimming, grading and preparing formation levels for pipe beddingLifting operations using certified lifting points and quick-hitch – slinging and handling pipes/chambersCarrying out daily machine checks, greasing, and maintaining plant in safe working orderWorking around existing services – identifying and protecting utilities (HSG47)Adhering to all health & safety, method statements and permit-to-dig systemsAssisting groundworkers when required and keeping excavation secureEssential Requirements:Valid CPCS or NPORS (with CSCS logo) – A58/A59 360 Excavator 10T+ - Lifting Ops essentialProven experience in DEEP DRAINAGE – not just foundations / muck shiftingExperience with trench support systems and deep excavationsGood understanding of levels, pipe lasers, and working to gradientsValid safety critical medical / fit to workFull UK Driving Licence (preferred)Right to work in UKDesirable:National Water Hygiene Card (blue card)SSSTS / CSCSConfined Space – Medium Risk / City & GuildsSlinger / Signaller A40A ticketFirst Aid at WorkExperience on 8T to 30T machines, with tilt-rotator / Engcon experience a plusPersonal Attributes:Safety-first mindset, comfortable stopping work if unsafeGood communicator with pipelayers and banksmanAble to work in all weathers and at depthReliable, punctual, takes pride in neat, accurate workWhat We Offer:Ongoing work, paid weeklyWell-maintained machines, fuel and secure sitePPE providedOpportunity for overtime and weekend work
