Lead Business Analyst - Cardiff (Hybrid) - £81,700 + Benefits

A well-established organisation delivering critical services across the UK is looking for an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join its technology change function.

This is a key leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of business strategy, technology delivery and stakeholder engagement. You'll play a pivotal role shaping major programmes of work before they enter delivery, ensuring technology investments align with business priorities and long-term strategic objectives.

Working alongside Programme Managers, Solution Architects and senior business leaders, you'll help define future change initiatives while leading a small team of Business Analysts.

What you'll do:

Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts
Gather, document and validate business requirements
Facilitate stakeholder workshops
Produce business cases and investment papers
Scope projects and define delivery requirements
Manage risks, dependencies and assumptions
Work closely with Solution Architects and Project Managers
Support supplier assessments and solution evaluations
Drive stakeholder alignment and decision makingWhat you'll bring:

Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Business Analyst
Experience managing or mentoring BA teams
Strong business case and investment paper experience
Workshop facilitation expertise
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Experience within enterprise technology programmes
Understanding of Waterfall delivery approaches
