Building Regulation Principal Designer

A medium sized Construction Consultancy are seeking a Principal Designer Building Regulations due to a new framework inbound from a repeat client. The Principal Designer will lead on Building Regulation advisory to internal and external design teams.

The Principal Designer Building Regulations will have excellent progression due to the multi-disciplinary nature of the consultancy, meaning the Building Regulation Principal Design service can grow easily. You will also work closely with the internal PM and Fire Safety teams.

The Principal Designer for Building Regulations will work hybrid, they enjoy offering their staff flexibility as they understand you have a personal life which is requires this at particular times.

The Building Regulations Principal Designer's role

The Building Regulations Principal Designer will advise clients and design teams on Building Regulations compliance, Building Safety Act requirements, Gateway submissions, design risk management, and duty holder responsibilities. Training will be offered if you have not formally undertaken the Building Regulation Principal Design role.

The Principal Designer Building Regulations

The successful Principal Designer Building Regulations will have:

3 years' experience as an Architect, Architectural Technologist or Design Management role is required
Experience working as a Building Regulations Principal Designer is advantageous, however knowledge of PAS 8671, relevant approved documents and confidence on Building Regulations is required
Membership or working towards RIBA or CIAT is requiredIn Return?

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
