BI Developer – Data & Analytics

TeacherActive is looking for a talented and forward-thinking BI Developer to join our innovative IT team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our data and analytics capabilities, working with modern technologies including Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory.

We're looking for someone who loves getting under the skin of data. You'll be focused on ETL, data modelling and developing robust data solutions, rather than simply building reports and dashboards.

The role

You'll play a key part in developing and improving our data infrastructure, transforming complex data into reliable, scalable solutions that support smarter business decisions.

You'll be responsible for:

Designing and developing ETL pipelines to transform, integrate and optimise data.

Building and maintaining data models that deliver accurate, consistent and accessible information.

Working with Databricks and Microsoft Fabric to develop and enhance our analytical data platform.

Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges and turn requirements into practical solutions.

Driving innovation and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to automate processes, improve data quality and simplify complex data structures.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who brings more than just technical expertise. You'll be curious, proactive and passionate about finding better ways of doing things.

You'll have:

Strong experience in ETL development, data modelling and data warehousing.

Experience with Databricks and modern data platforms.

Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric or similar technologies.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to explain technical concepts clearly.

A problem-solving mindset, attention to detail and a genuine passion for data and technology.
