Process Lead – Manufacturing

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts – 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm

I'm recruiting for my client, a specialist chemicals and ingredients business supplying products and technical solutions to customers across a range of industries, including food and chemical manufacturing.

They are looking for a Process Lead to support day-to-day manufacturing and processing operations at their Redditch site, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and in line with quality and regulatory requirements.

This is a hands-on role combining manufacturing process oversight with stock management, warehouse coordination, health and safety, and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day processing and manufacturing activities.
Ensure compliance with GMP, BRC, health and safety, and relevant regulatory standards.
Monitor stock levels, packaging availability and material movements.
Support production planning to meet customer requirements.
Maintain accurate production records, procedures and stock reports.
Coordinate goods dispatch, deliveries and collections.
Ensure safe handling, storage and segregation of food products and chemicals.
Support audits, staff training and continuous improvement across the operation.

About You

Experience in manufacturing or warehousing within a GMP, BRC or similarly regulated environment.
A degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Knowledge of COSHH, risk assessments and safe material handling.
Strong attention to detail, particularly around weights, measures and documentation.
Good communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Able to follow procedures, manage priorities and work independently.
Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern of 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm.

Desirable: Forklift licence, chemical handling experience, knowledge of hazardous goods labelling and packing regulations, or previous warehouse and customer service experience. Training can be provided where required
