Trade Counter Assistant / Retail Advisor

We’re looking for a customer focused trade counter retail advisor to join a busy trade counter in Bracknell on aa temp to perm basis.

This varied role combines excellent customer service with safety product knowledge, helping customers and delegates access the right equipment, advice and services to keep people safe.

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00, occasional Saturday morning 8am-12pm
Location: Bracknell

Key Responsibilities for the trade counter assistant role

• Provide excellent customer service across a busy trade counter
• Support the hire, servicing and maintenance of safety equipment
• Provide technical advice on equipment selection
• Welcome delegates, complete site inductions and ensure site safety
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues effectively
• Support sales activity, including retail sales and outbound customer calls

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within an operational or on trade counter
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Confident working collaboratively with customers and colleagues
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft applications
• Knowledge of safety equipment or confined spaces would be advantageous
• A driving licence would be desirable
