Strategy Education is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants, Teaching Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of schools throughout South London.

🚗 IMPORTANT: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for these positions due to the locations of the schools.

The Roles

Depending on your experience and the requirements of each school, responsibilities may include:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assisting class teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons

Supporting pupils with special educational needs and additional learning needs

Helping pupils access the curriculum and develop confidence and independence

Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment

Preparing learning resources and assisting with classroom activities

Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams

For HLTA positions, leading lessons and delivering planned learning activities when required

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience as a TA, SEN TA, LSA or HLTA is desirable

Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is advantageous for SEN-focused roles

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Patient, positive, reliable and adaptable

Confident supporting learning and promoting positive behaviour

Able to work effectively as part of a school team

Passionate about helping children and young people reach their potential

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle — essential
