Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable independent garage in Crawley for the position of Vehicle Technician. This Vehicle Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals seeking to advance their careers within a well-established workshop that values quality and customer satisfaction.

This Vehicle Technician role provides a highly competitive salary package, with earnings up to £38,000 depending on experience. Working schedule includes a guaranteed five-day week, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on rota (1 in 2), and a day off when working a Saturday. The Vehicle Technician position also features enhanced holiday entitlement, optional overtime, ongoing training and professional development, staff discounts on products and services, and a company pension scheme.

Perform vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs to high standards and in compliance with safety regulations
Assist with tyre fitting, wheel alignments, and adjustments
Fit brakes, exhausts, and other mechanical components efficiently and accurately
Ensure all work is carried out safely and documenting inspections and repairs accurately
Identify additional faults during vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly to customers and management
Support other workshop tasks as required, maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Uphold excellent customer service standards, explaining technical issues clearly to clientsRequirements:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role within a motor trade environment
Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills
Full UK driving licence with no more than six points (subject to licence checks)
Ability to work independently and within a team
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills to explain technical issues to customers
