Housekeeper

We are working with a well-established 30-bedded nursing home in Hindhead that is looking to recruit an experienced Housekeeper / Laundry Supervisor to join their team.

This is a Monday–Friday position, offering consistent hours and a competitive hourly rate.

Position: Housekeeper / Laundry Supervisor

Location: Hindhead

Setting: 30-bedded nursing home – elderly care

Hours: Monday–Friday, 30 hours per week

Pay: £14.50 per hour

Paid breaks: Yes

About the Role

The successful candidate will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and laundry services throughout the home. You will oversee housekeeping and laundry duties, helping to ensure residents have a clean, comfortable and well-maintained environment.

Previous experience in a housekeeping and/or laundry supervisory role is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Overseeing daily housekeeping and laundry duties.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.

Ensuring residents’ clothing, bedding and linen are washed, dried and stored appropriately.

Supporting the organisation of laundry and housekeeping tasks.

Following health and safety, infection control and laundry procedures.

Helping maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents.

Requirements

Previous experience in a housekeeping and/or laundry supervisory role is essential.

Good organisational skills and the ability to manage daily tasks effectively.

A reliable, hands-on approach and attention to detail.

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

An understanding of hygiene and infection control standards within a care setting.

Benefits

£14.50 per hour with paid breaks.

Monday–Friday working pattern.

30 hours per week.
