Are you a strategic leader with a strong track record of securing work within the social housing sector?
We are working with a well-established regional contractor delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment, decarbonisation and new build housing projects across the North West. Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of opportunities, they are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Bids & Partnerships to lead their work-winning strategy and develop key client relationships.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Board, you will take ownership of the company's bid, framework and partnership activities, driving sustainable growth across social housing and public sector markets.
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing the bid process from inception through to submission, and building long-term relationships with housing associations, local authorities, consultants and framework providers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the bid and proposals function.
Create and implement the company's work-winning strategy.
Identify and secure opportunities through frameworks, direct awards and competitive tendering.
Build strategic partnerships with housing associations, local authorities and key stakeholders.
Manage PQQs, SQs, ITTs and framework submissions.
Coordinate internal teams to produce high-quality, successful tender responses.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of future opportunities.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and procurement frameworks.
Represent the business at industry events, networking opportunities and client meetings.
Work closely with operational teams to ensure successful mobilisation of new contracts.
Requirements
Proven experience in a senior bid, framework, partnership or work-winning role within construction or social housing.
Strong understanding of planned maintenance, refurbishment, retrofit, regeneration or new build housing.
Demonstrable success in securing contracts with housing associations and local authorities.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Experience managing bid teams and leading complex tender submissions.
Commercially aware with excellent presentation and communication skills.
