As a Management Accountant, based in Banbury, you'll handle the day-to-day financial operations that keep the business on track. This role involves managing budgets, analysing financial data, and supporting decision-making to ensure smooth financial performance.

Description

The Management Accountant's responsibilities include:

Produce monthly management accounts, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets for various entities.
Lead month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Maintain prepayment, accrual, stock, and fixed asset schedules, including depreciation calculations.
Prepare and post journals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities alongside the Financial Controller.
Deliver financial analysis and assist with performance reporting for online and overseas business operations.
Prepare VAT returns, support cashflow reporting, assist with audits, and contribute to pricing analysis for international markets.Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

A recognised accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in financial reporting and budgeting within the retail industry.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with different teams.Job Offer
