An opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager or Sales professional to develop strategic client relationships and drive commercial growth within an established multidisciplinary design and engineering consultancy.
Operating across the Commercial, Industrial, Defence and wider Built Environment sectors, our client delivers Architecture, Building Surveying, Engineering and Project Management services to organisations across the UK.
We're looking for someone with a strong background in selling technical products, engineering solutions or professional services, ideally within Building Services, Construction or associated industries. Experience working with MOD estates, Defence infrastructure or other highly regulated environments would be particularly valuable.
Working alongside the Commercial and Technical Teams, you'll take ownership of established accounts, identify new project opportunities and develop long-term client partnerships.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and grow key client accounts, developing relationships with senior stakeholders and decision makers.
• Identify new projects, capital investment programmes and opportunities within existing client portfolios.
• Develop account strategies focused on revenue growth, client retention and repeat business.
• Introduce additional services across Architecture, Building Surveying, M&E, Structural Engineering and Project Management.
• Work alongside Commercial and Technical Teams to develop proposals, tenders and commercial solutions.
• Identify new business opportunities through existing networks, referrals and industry relationships.
• Maintain regular client engagement through meetings, site visits and project reviews.
• Monitor account performance, manage sales pipelines and support wider commercial objectives.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in Key Account Management, Business Development, Technical Sales or a similar commercial role.
• Strong background selling technical products, engineering solutions or professional services within Building Services, Construction, Engineering or related sectors.
• Demonstrable success developing client accounts, building commercial relationships and securing repeat business.
• Ability to identify opportunities, understand client requirements and introduce relevant technical solutions.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and experience contributing to proposals or tenders.
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and working alongside technical specialists.
• Strong communication, organisation and relationship management skills.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel for client meetings.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working with MOD estates, Defence infrastructure or other highly regulated environments.
• Existing relationships across Defence, Commercial, Industrial or Public Sector organisations.
• Knowledge of building services, M&E systems, construction projects or multidisciplinary consultancy services.
• Experience managing framework agreements, strategic accounts or major client portfolios.
• Understanding of public sector procurement and capital investment programmes.
• Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance for relevant projects.
