Every product leaving the factory needs to be safe, consistent and made to the right standard. As a Quality Controller, you'll be the person helping to make sure that happens, spotting problems before they become bigger issues and keeping production on track.

You'll be working for an established food manufacturer in North Yorkshire, where your checks and decisions will make a real difference to food safety, product standards and customer satisfaction. If you've worked in food production and want to develop your technical knowledge, this could be a great next step.

What's in it for you

A permanent position with an established North Yorkshire food manufacturer.
Shifts pattern, working 4 days on and 2 days off.
Training and development to build your knowledge of food safety, HACCP and compliance.
Opportunities for career progression within a growing manufacturing business.
A varied, hands-on role where you'll work across different stages of production.
The chance to work closely with experienced production and technical teams.
A supportive working environment with an additional company benefits package.
Your responsibilities as Quality Controller

Inspect raw materials, products during production and finished goods to ensure they meet required standards.
Check product weights, specifications, packaging, labelling and date coding for accuracy.
Carry out CCP, GMP and hygiene checks, identifying potential food safety risks and escalating concerns.
Complete inspection records, compliance documentation and traceability checks accurately.
Investigate non-conforming products, support customer complaint investigations and help implement corrective actions.
Work with production, hygiene, engineering and technical teams to maintain HACCP standards, verify equipment calibration and improve compliance.
What we're looking for in a Quality Controller

Experience working within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar production environment.
An understanding of food safety, hygiene requirements and manufacturing standards.
Experience completing production checks, maintaining accurate records and following documented procedures.
Good communication skills and the ability to report findings clearly to production and management teams.
Previous experience in a food quality assurance role, knowledge of HACCP or GMP, or a relevant food safety qualification would be advantageous.
You'll need to be able to commute reliably to the North Yorkshire site, so access to your own transport may be beneficial depending on where you live.
Working hours – Shifts pattern, working 4 days on and 2 days off.

If you're looking for a Quality Controller position where you can develop your skills, take responsibility for product standards and make a genuine difference in a busy food manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you. Apply today to find out more
