The school is dedicated to ensuring all pupils receive the guidance, encouragement and pastoral support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Pastoral Support Officer will work closely with teaching and support staff to manage challenging behaviour, provide pastoral support to pupils and promote positive relationships, helping young people overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence and emotional wellbeing.

The successful Pastoral Support Officer will have:

Previous experience working within a school, pastoral support or educational setting

Experience managing challenging behaviour and supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties

Confidence liaising with teachers, support staff and other professionals

Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
