Contracts Manager - Bespoke Joinery & Fit-Out

Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Position: Full-time, Permanent

There’s something different about managing projects where the finished product is genuinely bespoke. Where craftsmanship, attention to detail and getting things right matter just as much as meeting programme and budget.

We're recruiting a Contracts Manager for a well-established, specialist joinery business with over 60 years of experience delivering high-quality work across luxury hotels, commercial interiors, prime residential properties, retail and leisure.

This is a company that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing facilities, taking projects from initial design through to manufacture and installation.

They are looking for someone who understands construction and joinery, knows how to manage people and projects, and enjoys seeing detailed, high-quality work come together.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you'll oversee bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects, coordinating the different stages of delivery and ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing multiple projects from design through to completion

Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers

Overseeing programmes, procurement and project budgets

Working closely with clients, designers and the workshop

Ensuring projects meet quality, safety and programme requirements

About You

We're particularly interested in speaking with someone who has a practical joinery background and has progressed into project or contracts management.

Ideally, you'll bring:

Experience in bespoke joinery, fit-out, refurbishment or shopfitting

A background in Contracts Management or Project Management

Strong construction knowledge and commercial awareness

A background working on the tools before progressing into management would be particularly relevant, although it isn't essential.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to work with an established specialist contractor delivering varied, often prestigious projects where the quality of the finished work really matters.

If you're an experienced Contracts Manager who enjoys being involved in the whole process, from initial planning through to the finished installation, this could be well worth a conversation.

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 depending on experience.
