Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans, ensuring comfort, dignity, and respect at all times.
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility.
Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to the supervising healthcare professional promptly.
Support clients in engaging with social activities and community participation to promote their wellbeing.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided, adhering to data protection policies.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to deliver holistic care.

Qualifications

Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check clearance.
Experience or training in care support roles is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
A compassionate nature and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
Awareness and understanding of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable individuals.

Day-to-Day

A typical day as a Care Assistant at OK4U may include:

Greeting clients warmly and assisting them with morning routines.
Supporting clients with personal hygiene and medication reminders.

Monitoring wellbeing throughout the day and liaising with healthcare professionals as needed.
