SRS Recruitment Solutions are delighted to be supporting a leading international manufacturer of heating, hot water and renewable energy solutions with the appointment of a Commercial Projects Area Sales Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales, Area Sales or Business Development professional to join an established international business and play a key role in its continued growth across the commercial heating and renewables market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing project-led sales opportunities, building relationships with M&E consultants, mechanical contractors, local authorities, housing associations and property developers, and driving sales growth across the North of the UK.

With an established portfolio of recognised brands and a continued focus on energy efficiency, technological innovation and sustainable heating solutions, this is an opportunity to represent a well-established business within a growing market.

The Role

As Commercial Projects Area Sales Manager, you will:

• Develop new business opportunities and grow existing relationships across the commercial heating and renewables market.
• Identify and develop project-led sales opportunities with M&E consultants, contractors, developers, local authorities and housing associations.
• Promote a comprehensive range of domestic and commercial heating products, including boilers, heat pumps and water heating solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, industry influencers and strategic partners.
• Increase brand awareness and market presence throughout the assigned territory.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and emerging opportunities to support business growth.
• Arrange customer meetings, deliver product presentations and develop commercial project opportunities.
• Manage CRM systems and maintain accurate sales pipeline information, customer records and reporting.
• Use Microsoft Excel and other business systems to analyse sales data, track opportunities and monitor performance.
• Maintain strong product knowledge, including technical specifications and key selling points across heating and renewable technologies.
• Work towards agreed KPIs, sales targets and commercial objectives to maximise regional performance.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in Technical Sales, Area Sales Management or Business Development within the heating, renewables, HVAC or wider building services industry.
• A good understanding of commercial heating products and project-led sales.
• Experience engaging with M&E consultants, mechanical contractors, developers or other commercial customers.
• The ability to identify new business opportunities and develop long-term customer relationships.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, alongside CRM systems.
• An understanding of competitor products, market trends and relevant industry legislation.
• The ability to manage a territory independently, organise customer visits and work towards agreed sales targets.
• A proactive, commercially focused approach with the ability to develop opportunities and build lasting industry relationships.

Experience selling boilers, heat pumps, water heaters or related commercial heating solutions would be particularly relevant.
