Location: Leicester
Salary: Up to £38,500 per annum
Shift: Rotating: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm (Friday: 6am-1pm and 1pm-8pm)

The company is a specialist manufacturer of high-precision components, supplying advanced optical solutions to a range of industries.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Turning Technician to manufacture high-precision infrared and visible optical components using single-point diamond turning machinery, achieving exceptional surface finishes and micron-level tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate diamond turning machines.
Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
Select tooling and adjust machine settings.
Inspect components using precision measurement equipment.
Maintain quality standards, production records and traceability.
Follow Health & Safety procedures and support continuous improvement.Requirements

Experience operating diamond turning machines or CNC lathes.
Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
Experience using precision measurement equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
