Key Responsibilities as a School Support Worker

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to learners with autism and additional needs.
Support non-verbal learners with communication, sensory activities and learning tasks.
Provide personal and intimate care where required.
Follow individual learning and care plans.
Encourage participation, independence and positive daily routines.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
Maintain a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.The Ideal School Support Worker

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, autism or complex needs.
Background in education, care, support work or a similar setting.
Confidence and willingness to provide personal and intimate care.
A patient, compassionate and proactive approach.
