Overview

Active (Pathways) Solutions are seeking skilled and motivated National Grid Authorised Groundworker to join our team. You’ll be supporting a range of substation project in Glasgow contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of high-voltage electrical works.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

📋 Valid and up-to-date documentation – including CSCS/ Safety Passport, and relevant National Grid Persons authorization, HSG47, Dumper, Telehandler, Slinger/Signaller & Manual Handling
⚡ Proven substation experience – previous work on National Grid, Scottish Power or DNO sites is essential.
🧾 Verifiable references – able to provide evidence of experience and competency within the substation or high-voltage industry.

⚙️ Show excellent attention to detail – ensuring precision, quality, and safety at all times.
🤝 Work effectively as part of a team – collaborating with multi-discipline site crews.
🧠 Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills – adapting confidently to changing site conditions.

Desirable Additional Qualifications

Having any of the following would be an advantage:

IPAF (MEWP)
Telehandler (CPCS or NPORS)
PASMA
First Aid
Manual Handling
Abrasive Wheels
Other relevant industry-related courses
