Aspire People are looking for an experienced HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to support pupils across Monmouth.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step, or an existing HLTA looking for a new opportunity.

The Role

• Support pupils across a range of learning needs
• Deliver planned learning activities and interventions
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Work alongside teaching staff to support pupil progress
• Build positive relationships with pupils
• Provide cover for lessons where required

Requirements

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience
• Previous experience working with children or young people
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Experience supporting ALN/SEN pupils desirable
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• EWC registration or willingness to register
• Enhanced DBS for Children on the DBS Update Service
