Maintenance Planner - Automotive Industry

Location: Solihull
Contract: Fixed-Term
Hours: Double Days (Mornings/Afternoons), 37-40 hrs/week
Pay: £38.29/hr + overtime/weekend premiums
Salary Equivalent: £55.2k (37 hrs) / £57.5k (40 hrs)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join a leading automotive manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating preventative maintenance activities, supporting operational performance, equipment reliability, and statutory compliance across production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage SAP/MAPS preventative maintenance schedules.
Create and update PM plans, frequencies, labour hours, and job plans.
Maintain the PMCR register.
Coordinate statutory inspections and track defect reports through to completion.
Attend planning and PM review meetings, assigning work via SAP.
Support maintenance targets and PM completion rates.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain high standards of health and safety.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience in maintenance planning within an automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
Knowledge of SAP/MAPS or similar maintenance management systems.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Confident communicator with the ability to challenge and influence where required.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
