Role: Building Surveyor / Project Manager (project delivery)

Location: Hybrid from Newmarket with East Anglia and Essex focus | 2-3 days home-based

I am representing a specialist Education Estates Consultancy that is currently outperforming the market. While other sectors fluctuate with the economy, the academy and school sector remains resilient. • You’ll lead projects from £250k refurbishments to £3m new builds. You aren’t just assisting; you are the face of the project from the first site visit to the final handover.
• Forget the soul-crushing daily trek to London. With 2–3 days of home working and site visits focused across East Anglia and the Essex borders, you get your evenings back.
• You’ll be working alongside a senior team I’ve known for years. They are technically brilliant but, more importantly, they are decent people who actually want to see you get your MRICS letters.

Based primarily within the Academy and Education sector, you’ll navigate the unique challenges of school environments. You’ll be the bridge between the schools and the contractors, managing frameworks and ensuring that the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) and other capital grants are turned into high-quality facilities. Typically, you’ll balance 3–4 concurrent projects, keeping your week varied, engaging, and—most importantly—local.

We're open to considering graduates just starting out on their Building Surveying career journey, through to seasoned Surveyors with established Project Management skills.

Priority will be provided if

• You have 2–4 years of post-grad experience in Building Surveying (Private Practice or Consultancy background).
• Working towards your APC. If you’re close to the finish line, this team will provide the final push to get you qualified. They have a 100% record to date.
