Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with a successful SME in East Grinstead who are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join their team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership and ensure the finance function runs efficiently.

Key duties of the Senior Finance Assistant:

Overseeing day-to-day purchase and sales ledger
Processing invoices, payments and bank reconciliations
Managing credit control and outstanding payments
Supporting month-end, including accruals, prepayments and journals
Preparing and reviewing monthly P&L accounts
Liaising with the external Accountant and resolving queries
Taking ownership of finance tasks and ensuring deadlines are met
Supporting and motivating colleagues to maintain efficient workflowsWe are looking for:

Previous accounts/finance experience, ideally at senior level
Xero experience - essential
Strong knowledge of purchase/sales ledger, reconciliations and credit control
Strong Excel skills, including formulas and data handling
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Confident challenging and querying where required
Proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership
Ability to support and motivate othersWhat's on offer:
