SEN Teacher - Alternative Provision Near Colchester - ASAP Start

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision near Colchester, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate teacher who is committed to supporting students with additional needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning within a nurturing and inclusive educational setting.

The provision is looking for a resilient, adaptable practitioner with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs.

📌 CONTRACT DETAILS

Location - Alternative Provision near Colchester
Position - SEN Teacher
Type of work - Teaching students with Special Educational Needs
Start date - ASAP
Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
Full time/part-time - Full-time
Rate of pay - £165 - £215 per day (depending on experience)
Hours - 08:30am - 15:30pm📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS or equivalent)
Experience teaching children or young people with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs
Experience working within an Alternative Provision, SEN School, PRU or mainstream setting supporting additional needs is desirable
Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
Provide two professional child-related references💼 OTHER INFORMATION
