The Opportunity
A UK Leading FM Service Provider is looking to appoint an experienced Account Director - Healthcare to lead a high-profile hospital facilities management account in London.

This is a senior strategic leadership position with overall responsibility for the successful delivery, commercial performance and development of the account.

You will work closely with senior healthcare stakeholders, leading large multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring that facilities management services are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest possible standards within a complex and highly regulated hospital environment.

The Role
As Account Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the account, acting as the senior point of contact for the client and driving a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall accountability for the strategic and operational performance of a major healthcare FM account.
• Develop and deliver a long-term account strategy aligned with client objectives and service requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior hospital stakeholders, including executive-level contacts.
• Lead and inspire large, multi-disciplinary operational teams across the account.
• Take full ownership of P&L, budgetary performance and commercial outcomes.
• Drive service excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across the facilities management operation.
• Ensure all contractual obligations, KPIs, SLAs and compliance requirements are consistently achieved.
• Identify and deliver opportunities for account growth, additional services and commercial development.
• Use performance data, reporting and analytics to identify trends, improve decision-making and enhance service delivery.
• Ensure robust health, safety, quality and compliance standards are maintained across the account.
• Act as the senior escalation point for operational, commercial and client-related issues.
• Develop a strong culture of engagement, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with internal leadership teams to ensure resources, people and service delivery remain aligned with client expectations.

About You
We are looking for an established senior FM professional with significant experience within healthcare facilities management and complex client environments.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as an Account Director, Account Manager, Operations Director or senior FM leader within healthcare.
• Strong experience working within a hospital, NHS or private healthcare environment.
• A detailed understanding of the challenges associated with delivering FM services within a patient-critical and highly regulated environment.
• Proven experience leading large, complex FM contracts and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with demonstrable experience of P&L ownership, budget management and account growth.
• Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at executive and board level.
• A strong track record of delivering operational improvements, service transformation and consistently high client satisfaction.
• Excellent understanding of contractual performance, KPIs, SLAs and governance.
• Strong health and safety leadership with a good understanding of UK legislation and compliance requirements.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
