Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker (Males due to the requirements of the role)
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £31,473 to £34,475 (sleep allowance included)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and motivated individual to join a children’s residential service in High Wycombe as a Children's Residential Support Worker. This role involves supporting 12- to 18-year-olds with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

You will have the chance to help young people develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe and caring environment, all while enjoying a rewarding and dynamic work setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, appropriate to their age.
• Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.
• Deal with challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically.
• Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
• Support young people in promoting their independence and overall well-being.
• Ensure a safe environment and keep up to date with individual care plans, guidelines, and communication methods.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Experience within healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
• Must hold a full UK manual driving licence, as transportation of young people may be required.
• Must be over the age of 21.
• Ability to commute to High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
