Site Agent

We're recruiting a Site Agent for a tier one contractor to plan and deliver rail earthworks and ground stabilisation projects across the South and South West of England – the traditional Wessex route. The role is based in Hampshire, with travel to live projects across the region. You'll plan, resource and manage a portfolio of low value projects ranging in value, complexity and duration. Rail possessions are tight, therefore experience in a rail environment is essential to this role.

It is essential you have experience of working in the rail environment and in the civil engineering sector, ideally on earthworks, ground stabilisation or geotechnical projects.

Site Agent responsibilities:

• Planning, resourcing and managing projects from start to finish
• Planning and delivering work within tight rail possessions
• Making sure a high spec project is delivered, with quality managed throughout
• Writing risk assessments and method statements
• Overall responsibility for health and safety on site
• Being the client's main point of contact for live and future work
• Managing supply chain, plant and labour requirements
• Working with the commercial team to manage change and cost
