Key Responsibilities

• Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site.
• Managing subcontractors, trades and site operatives.
• Coordinating refurbishment, demolition and structural works.
• Overseeing the removal of part of the existing roof and subsequent construction of an additional floor.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and site housekeeping.
• Liaising with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Managing site logistics, deliveries, materials and access.
• Monitoring progress and reporting on programme and any issues arising.
• Ensuring RAMS, permits and site documentation are in place and adhered to.
• Identifying and resolving issues on site promptly.
• Maintaining accurate site records and ensuring the project is delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience working as a Site Manager on refurbishment or similar construction projects.
• Experience managing projects involving demolition and structural alterations.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements and site management procedures.
• The confidence and ability to run a site independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing subcontractors.
• Relevant construction qualifications, ideally including SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS.
