This role is with an established and growing business company operating in the FMCG industry and would be suited to a Category Manager with Food/Drinks/Ingredients/packaging experience.
Description
Develop and implement category strategies to meet business goals.
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings or innovation.
Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with business needs.
Analyse spend data and report on key performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements.
Lead supplier performance reviews to maintain high standards.
Support the development of sustainable sourcing practices.Profile
A successful Category Manager should have:
Experience in the delivery of Category/Commodity Management strategy for raw materials, ingredients and/or packaging.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Knowledge of category management principles and market analysis.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
An analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Familiarity with procurement software and toolsJob Offer
Salary AND Package from ranging from £50,000 to £60,000, dependent on the level of experience.
