The Role

We are recruiting a Food Production Operative to join a busy fruit processing site in Sittingbourne. This is a hands‑on, manual role involving the production of fruit purées in an industrial environment.

Shift patterns include:

6am–2pm
2pm–10pm
You will alternate between early and late shifts every week
Key Responsibilities

Producing fruit purée using industrial machinery
Moving wheeled containers
Loading fruit into production machines
pH testing of finished product and recording results
Filling and handling 10kg tubs of fruit purée
Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards at all times
Manual Handling

Applicants must be comfortable with:

Regular manual handling
Pulling and manoeuvring wheeled containers
Standing for long periods and working in a production environment
Requirements

Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle
(Site is inaccessible by public transport and located down country lanes)
Physically fit and capable of heavy manual work
Reliable, punctual, and committed
Looking for a long‑term role, not short‑term or temporary work
Willing to learn and be trained within the business
PPE

All PPE is provided except safety boots
